Dani Carvajal Nearing Return to Real Madrid

Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal is set to make his return to action in football after more than five months on the sidelines due to a serious knee injury. His recovery progress has been encouraging, and he is expected to rejoin the team in the coming weeks.

Carvajal’s Recovery Progress

Dani Carvajal has been working tirelessly to recover from a severe knee injury that has kept him out of action since October 2024. The Spanish international suffered a torn ACL and ligament damage in a La Liga match against Villarreal, which required surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation process. However, the 33-year-old has made significant strides in his recovery, and he is now back on the training ground.

In a recent interview during his visit to Real Madrid University, Carvajal shared his optimism about returning to full fitness.

“It’s been over five months since surgery, and I’ve finally been able to put my boots on again. I’m working hard in training and trying to get back to my best as quickly as possible, but also making sure I’m in the best physical shape to perform,” Carvajal explained. “The last few months have been difficult, but I’ve felt a lot of love and support from everyone at Real Madrid. I’m excited to get back on the pitch.”

Real Madrid’s Struggles in the Right-Back Position

Real Madrid has struggled at right-back during Carvajal’s absence, with multiple players filling in the position, including Lucas Vazquez and young Raul Asencio. Therefore, Carvajal’s return is expected to significantly strengthen Real Madrid’s defense.

His injury has been a major setback for manager Carlo Ancelotti, but the prospect of his return comes as a huge relief for the Italian coach, especially with the crucial months of the season ahead. Carvajal’s experience and leadership will be valuable assets for the team as Real Madrid continues to fight for both La Liga and Champions League glory.

Wataru Endo Eyes Liverpool Exit Due to Limited Playtime

Wataru Endo is reportedly contemplating a move away from Liverpool after finding his playing time significantly reduced in the current season.

The 32-year-old Japanese midfielder, who joined Liverpool in 2023, has struggled to break into the first team, with most of his appearances coming from the bench. His limited role at Anfield has led to growing interest from several Bundesliga clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt, who are keen on bringing Endo back to Germany.

What’s Going on With Wataru Endo?

Endo’s situation at Liverpool has become increasingly difficult, as he has found it hard to get a regular starting spot in Jurgen Klopp’s team. With Liverpool no longer competing in domestic cup competitions, the Japanese midfielder’s opportunities have become even more limited. Endo’s last start came in a FA Cup loss to Plymouth Argyle earlier in February, and since then, he has not featured as a regular in the first XI.

In stark contrast, Endo remains a key player for the Japanese national team. He plays a full 90 minutes in Japan’s 2-0 win over Bahrain last week, which highlighted the difference in his roles at club and international level. Despite his age, Endo continues to perform well for Japan, and he believes he can still contribute at the highest level. However, at Liverpool, it seems his future is uncertain, and he may look for a move to a club where he can regain regular playing time.

Bundesliga club Frankfurt is reportedly interested in signing Endo, with the German side looking to strengthen their midfield with an experienced player who can bring leadership and depth. After missing out on signing Pascal Gross last summer, Frankfurt is keen to bring in a midfield general who can also support younger talents like Oscar Hojlund. Endo’s €52 million release clause could be a feasible option for Frankfurt, and it is believed that Liverpool would consider selling him if he expresses a desire to leave.

Endo had hoped to fight for a starting place at Liverpool earlier in the season. But with little progress made, he appears ready to move on. As the summer transfer window approaches, the Japanese midfielder could be on the move. He is potentially returning to the Bundesliga after just two years in the Premier League.
